Fertility-management consultations for family-planning purposes and menstrual-cycle management consultations for girls are provided by midwife and fertility consultant Baiba Stikute.
It is not only a tool for diagnosing and treating fertility problems, but also a method of healthy fertility self-monitoring — that is, becoming aware of a woman’s fertile and infertile periods, understanding the phases of the menstrual cycle, so that the couple or the woman can adapt this knowledge to their needs: to better understand and learn their own physiology and/or to plan a pregnancy and/or to postpone conception.

Fertility-Management Consultation for Family Planning

  • Any woman or couple who wants to learn about themselves and/or plan their family can choose this.
  • The couple or woman is introduced to the basics of the woman’s menstrual cycle and the biomarkers of cycle hormone function so that they can track the cycle and independently determine fertile and infertile periods within the cycle. The couple’s most suitable cycle-observing system is chosen and instructions for beginning observations are given.
  • In the next consultations, the cycle observations made since the previous visit are reviewed, correct recording of observations is clarified, and possible ovulation is assessed.
  • At least 2–3 consultations are required for successful learning of fertility management.
  • Consultations may also be held remotely.

Menstrual-Cycle Management Consultation

  • A consultation for young girls about the menstrual cycle, its specific features, observations, hygiene. Accepting themselves through these physiological changes. How to evaluate their cycle, how to recognise deviations from the norm.
(You may attend the consultation together with a friend or sister.)
